Nearly fifty years of supplying Hyderabad's bakery trade has taught us a thing or two about raw materials, brands, and the small details that matter.
When our family opened Sri Raja Laxmi Enterprises in 1977, Begum Bazar looked different. The lanes were narrower, the shopfronts smaller, and the trade ran on relationships built over decades. Today the market is busier and the range of products is wider, but the fundamentals of our business have stayed the same β quality matters, supply matters, and trust matters more than anything.
We have decided to start writing things down. Not for marketing, but because we have learnt a lot over the years and we think some of it is worth sharing β with the bakers, biscuit manufacturers, ice cream makers and confectioners who buy from us, and with anyone curious about how this trade works.
The plan is to write about practical things:
You will not find sales pitches here. We are not trying to convince you to switch suppliers or buy something you do not need. If you find these notes useful and one day you need bakery raw materials, we hope you will think of us. If not, that is fine too β we hope you find something worth reading anyway.
